consecutive "beginning of turn" effects not working properly

So I have seen it every now and then, that effects that should have wiped out my team one by one instead skipped every other creature.

So Poison or Live to Labor would kill one guy at the beginning of its turn, but then the next one in line would get its turn normally. Most notably, if it was defending and/or provoking before, you can still see those symbols, even though the menu is already up.

Seems like when a creature is killed at the beginning of the turn, the next creature’s beginning of turn just gets skipped or not processed properly.
