"On Hit" inconsistencies

So I noticed that when an attack does 0 damage, it doesn’t have the chance to cast Mutilate. However, it can still gain Shell on Hit from its Artifact. Or is that intended somehow?

Seems like the same thing happens when attacking into a barrier. I am trying to whittle down my opponent’s barrier with 1-2 damage each :frowning: Never any Mutilate…

On that note, it’s the same sound effect on damaging a barrier, hitting for 0 damage and the attack getting dodged. Maybe because the enemy’s health doesn’t decrease?

Edit: actually, it might be something else entirely… or maybe that’s just always how damage towards barrier is represented? Either way, you can see a bunch of attacks with no Mutilates triggering, even though I have 13 Mutilates on each creature.


On-attack effects aren’t supposed to activate if the creature deals 0 damage, so that part is the bug. I’ll fix that for the next patch, thanks!
