Singulars are invisible and causes impassable error

This is the error I get every time I run into a Singular- the singular ends up invisible and the game stubbornly refuses to allow me to bypass the error, popping it back up instantly again no matter what, until I abort and quit the game.

It says it’s ‘not compatible with this device’ which is odd since I’m running it on windows 10. Am I missing some required software or plugins?

Try downloading this and installing it and see if that helps: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35

It’s the DirectX runtime - I’d be surprised if you don’t have it installed already but it’s worth a try!

I forgot to respond to this, but turns out my DirectX was indeed outdated and I simply hadn’t run into problems until now. Thanks!
